A reputable shipping company is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to manage the engineering operations of a Turkish-flagged Tug Boat.
The vessel is equipped with 2 × 2,000 HP main engines and has a 52.35 MT bollard pull.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the Engineering Department
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of main and auxiliary machinery
• Supervise planned and corrective maintenance
• Monitor propulsion and technical systems
• Troubleshoot machinery defects and arrange repairs
• Maintain engineering records and spare parts
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures
Requirements
• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency
• Minimum 3,000 kW qualification required
• Previous Tug Boat / marine engineering experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of propulsion and auxiliary machinery
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid Passport, Seaman’s Book, and Medical Certificate
• Good English communication skills
• Strong technical and safety awareness
• Turkish personnel preferred
