Job Description
A leading offshore marine company is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join an ERRV or Offshore Support Vessel operating in the UK/EU region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's engine department, machinery and technical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the engine department.
Ensure safe operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery.
Oversee planned maintenance, inspections and repairs.
Maintain machinery and technical systems in operational condition.
Ensure compliance with company SMS, HSE and environmental procedures.
Participate in emergency drills and technical response activities.
Maintain accurate engine-room documentation.
Requirements
Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC) appropriate to the position.
Relevant engine-room and offshore vessel experience.
Previous ERRV / Offshore Support Vessel experience preferred.
Valid STCW certification.
Valid passport, Seaman's Book and medical certificate.
Valid offshore safety certificates as required.
Good command of English.
Strong safety awareness and leadership skills.
Physically and medically fit for offshore service.
Availability for employment in the UK/EU region.
