Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a tugboat operating in European ports, primarily Germany. The ideal candidate has solid technical expertise, strong teamwork skills, and prior experience working with CAT engines. You will work closely within a small crew, supporting safe towage operations and ensuring the vessel’s mechanical reliability.

Responsibilities
Oversee all engine room operations and maintenance
Ensure proper functioning of CAT engines and auxiliary systems
Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
Maintain safety standards and operational readiness
Work closely with the Captain and small crew during towage operations
Contribute to safe docking/undocking and operational support
Maintain technical documentation and reports
Requirements
Proven experience working as Chief Engineer on tugboats
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CAT engines
Valid STCW certificates, medical check-up, and valid seafarer’s book
Ability to work effectively in a small team
Strong communication skills and proactive attitude
Solution-oriented mindset and leadership qualities
Availability to join on the specified start date
