Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer for a Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) DP2 Diesel Electric operating in West Africa (Gabon). The position offers an excellent opportunity to work offshore on a DP2 vessel with a reputable operator, overseeing all engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Manage all engine room operations and machinery maintenance on a DP2 PSV
• Supervise engineering crew and assign daily maintenance tasks
• Ensure safe operation of Diesel Electric main engines (Cummins) and auxiliary systems
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, including DP systems
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company regulations
• Maintain logs and technical records as per company standards
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates and COC/Endorsements
• Valid Passport (PP), Seaman’s Book (SB), and medical fitness certificate
• DP Maintenance Certificate and DP experience required
• Minimum 12 months offshore experience in the same rank on Diesel Electric vessels
• Experience with Cummins main engines
• Good command of English (spoken and written)
• Fully vaccinated (YF, Polio, COVID-19)
• Shipowner restriction: Not accepting residents of Crimea
Employment Details:
• Contract Duration: 2 months (+/-)
• Rotation: 2 months on/off
• Salary: USD 10,500 per month
• Day Rate: USD 350
• Category: Offshore
