Job Description
Y-Ships is currently recruiting an experienced Chief Engineer to join a Multipurpose AHTS or Pusher Tug operating on offshore and marine projects worldwide.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the engine department and the safe and efficient operation of propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and technical systems onboard.

Job Responsibilities
Manage all engine-room operations.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
Supervise engine-room personnel and maintenance activities.
Implement and monitor planned maintenance schedules.
Troubleshoot machinery defects and coordinate repairs.
Maintain engine-room logs, reports, and technical documentation.
Manage spare parts and technical inventories.
Participate in emergency drills, inspections, and safety meetings.
Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM Code, and company HSE procedures.
Requirements
Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC).
Valid STCW 2010 certification package.
Previous experience as Chief Engineer on AHTS, Pusher Tug, OSV, or similar vessels.
Offshore, towing, or anchor-handling vessel experience preferred.
Valid passport, seaman's book, and medical certificate.
Good English communication skills.
Strong technical, leadership, and safety management skills.
Physically and medically fit for sea service.
