A reputable offshore company is currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer for deployment onboard a Cable Lay Barge operating in Vietnam.
The selected candidate will oversee engine room operations, machinery maintenance, and technical management onboard while ensuring compliance with offshore safety and operational standards.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise engine room operations and engineering crew
Maintain vessel machinery and technical systems
Ensure safe and efficient engine performance
Coordinate maintenance and repair activities
Maintain compliance with STCW and company procedures
Support offshore cable laying operations onboard
Requirements
Taiwanese nationality preferred
Previous Cable Lay Barge experience required
Valid STCW certification package
Valid ILO medical certificate
Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Good English communication skills
Strong technical and safety awareness
