Job Description
Novo Sdn Bhd is currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join an Accommodation Work Boat (AWB) DP2 Vessel supporting offshore operations in Malaysia Offshore.
The successful candidate will oversee all engine room operations, supervise engineering personnel, maintain propulsion and auxiliary machinery, and ensure the vessel remains fully operational while complying with international maritime regulations and company HSE policies.
This opportunity is ideal for Chief Engineers with previous AWB DP2 or offshore support vessel experience.
Job Responsibilities
Manage all engine room operations and engineering personnel
Ensure safe and efficient operation of propulsion and auxiliary machinery
Plan and supervise maintenance and repair programs
Monitor fuel, lubricants, and machinery performance
Ensure compliance with planned maintenance systems
Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
Maintain engineering documentation and reports
Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures and international maritime regulations
Requirements
Minimum 24 months of experience as Chief Engineer on AWB DP2 or equivalent offshore vessels
Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency
Valid STCW 2010 certification package
Valid OPITO BOSIET
Valid passport and offshore medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong offshore engineering knowledge
Excellent leadership and safety management skills
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
