OSM Thome Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our high-performing culinary team onboard. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in line with company standards, ensuring compliance with international food safety protocols, and maintaining consistency across a variety of kitchen sections. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and passionate about culinary excellence.



Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare menu items as directed, ensuring accuracy, taste, and presentation meet company expectations
• Demonstrate advanced knife skills and strong knowledge of fundamental culinary techniques
• Adapt to working across all kitchen sections and menu changes
• Follow standardized recipes to maintain brand quality and consistency
• Ensure full compliance with Public Health standards (USPH, Anvisa, Shipsan, Canadian, Australian, etc.)
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and inspection-ready workstation
• Report to duty on time in proper uniform, with professional grooming and hygiene
• Use ingredients, equipment, and supplies responsibly to support cost control initiatives
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors and multicultural team members in a fast-paced environment



Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years of culinary experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or high-volume banquet operation
• At least 2 years of proven experience as a Line Cook or equivalent role (shipboard experience preferred)
• Culinary degree from an accredited institution (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of culinary terms, recipe execution, and international food safety standards
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to multicultural, dynamic work environments with professionalism
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with ability to follow structured service timelines
• Intermediate computer literacy and understanding of inventory tracking, portioning, and cost control
• Ability to prepare reports and collaborate with senior kitchen leadership and officers
• Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
