Job Description:
We are recruiting a Cook / Crew Chef to join a busy 60m Private Motor Yacht with adventurous American owners and excellent crew longevity. The vessel is currently in Denmark, preparing for a global cruising schedule that includes Holland, USA, and the Caribbean.
The role requires an energetic and creative chef to provide fresh, nutritious, family-style meals for the crew using high-quality ingredients. A pastry background is highly desirable, as the owners are gluten-free. The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive, down-to-earth attitude, willing to support the Head Chef and step up when required.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, duties may include but are not limited to:
• Preparing balanced and varied daily meals for crew members
• Supporting the Head Chef with guest and galley operations
• Adapting meals to dietary requirements (including gluten-free)
• Maintaining stock control and provisioning
• Ensuring high standards of galley hygiene and organisation
Requirements:
• Previous experience as Cook/Crew Chef on similar-sized yachts or in high-end hospitality
• Strong background in family-style and healthy cuisine
• Pastry skills (highly desirable)
• Team player with a positive, proactive approach
• Valid STCW 95 / STCW 2010 certification and ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Valid B1/B2 visa (essential)
Employment Details:
• Contract: Permanent
• Salary: USD $6,000 p/m
• Bonus: 13th month bonus
• Leave: 60 days annually
• Start Date: Late September – October
