A maritime company is seeking an experienced Motorman to join a DP2 Cable Laying Vessel operating on worldwide offshore projects.
The successful candidate will support the engine department with machinery operation, maintenance, inspections, and general engine room duties under the supervision of the engineering officers.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery
Perform routine engine room inspections and monitoring
Assist engineers with maintenance and repair activities
Maintain engine room equipment and work areas
Assist with machinery cleaning, lubrication, and preservation
Participate in emergency drills and safety activities
Follow engine room safety, HSE, and environmental procedures
Support the engineering team during offshore operations
Requirements
Valid STCW certificates relevant to the position
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
Previous experience as a Motorman or similar engine rating
Offshore, DP vessel, or Cable Laying Vessel experience is an advantage
Good knowledge of English
Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural crew
