We are seeking an experienced Master to join an AHTS vessel operating in Papua’s domestic waters. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in offshore towing operations, vessel handling, and command leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring safe vessel operations, compliance with local procedures, and effective coordination with the crew and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities
Command and oversee all navigation and maritime operations onboard the AHTS vessel
Execute safe AHTS operations, towing, and vessel positioning
Utilize joystick vessel control systems proficiently
Ensure compliance with Papua local regulations and offshore procedures
Maintain a high standard of safety, communication, and operational discipline
Lead, supervise, and support multinational crew members
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of sea service as Master on AHTS vessels
Valid STCW certificates (as per current regulations)
Recent medical check-up and active seafarer’s book
Proven experience with joystick vessel control systems
Familiarity with Papua operational procedures and working environment
Strong English communication skills
Multinational crew experience is a plus
