Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Tugboat Engineer / Marine Engineer Assistant (MEA) to support engineering operations onboard tugboats. The successful candidate will assist with machinery maintenance, technical operations, and safe operation of vessel systems.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assist engineers with engine room operations
• Perform maintenance on engines and auxiliary machinery
• Monitor machinery performance and report defects
• Support repairs and troubleshooting activities
• Maintain engine room cleanliness and safety standards
Requirements:
• Relevant marine engineering qualifications
• Previous tugboat or offshore vessel experience preferred
• Knowledge of marine propulsion and auxiliary systems
• Valid STCW certificates where applicable
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
• Good communication skills
