Job Summary:
An Assistant Engineer is responsible for performing general vessel engineer duties under supervision of the Chief Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Develop understanding of engineering, operations, policies, and procedures
Stand engine room watch on assigned vessel
Perform routine engine maintenance and repairs
Maintain engine room daily logs
Maintain engine room parts inventory and stocks as needed
Transfer fuel, oil, and water to and from the vessel
Follow company and work site safety policies/procedures and
commits to an “incident and injury free” work environment
Requirements:
Resume w/ applicable experience
Driver’s License or Passport
MMC w/ DDE, 3rd, 2nd, 1st or Chief license
USCG Medical
