Description

An Assistant Engineer is responsible for performing general vessel engineer duties under supervision of the Chief Engineer.



Responsibilities:

- Develop understanding of engineering, operations, policies, and procedures

- Stand engine room watch on assigned vessel

- Perform routine engine maintenance and repairs

- Maintain engine room daily logs

- Maintain engine room parts inventory and stocks as needed

- Transfer fuel, oil, and water to and from the vessel

- Follows company and work site safety policies/procedures and
commits to an “incident and injury free” work environment
