Mechanical Department Manager for Offshore Drilling Vessel (Houston, Texas )

Description

This position will be responsible for organizing and supervising mechanical personnel on board the vessel.



Responsibilities:?

- Provide clear daily guidelines and monitory daily operations with visible leadership

- Maintain required logbooks and provide thorough handovers

- Be able to operationally prepare, maintain, and record all safety and emergency equipment as well as stock spare parts and materials

- Ensure effective use of the company’s maintenance management system

- Assist in the planning and coordinating of all preventative and corrective maintenance activities with other departments

- Work and assist with the technical section leader on work activities and the proper installation and maintenance of equipment

- Ensure the work permits and isolation systems are adhered to

- Develop effective troubleshooting condition evaluation and maintenance task optimization

- Assist with design modification of equipment

- Conduct performance appraisals for subordinates and effectively use all safety and environmental tools
