Job Description
Blue Phoenix Deepwater is currently seeking an experienced Master / Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) for a long-term Offshore Deepwater Drilling Project in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall command of the offshore installation and vessel, ensuring safe marine operations, offshore project coordination, crew management, regulatory compliance, and implementation of company HSE standards.
This opportunity is ideal for senior offshore professionals with extensive Drillship or offshore DP vessel management experience.
Job Responsibilities
Manage all marine and offshore installation operations
Ensure safe navigation and offshore project execution
Lead marine, deck, and operational teams
Coordinate offshore activities with project personnel
Conduct safety meetings and emergency drills
Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and offshore HSE standards
Maintain operational readiness and statutory certification
Promote safe and efficient offshore operations
Requirements
Nigerian nationality
Previous experience as Master or OIM on offshore drilling units or DP vessels
Valid Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency
Valid STCW 2010 certification package
Valid offshore medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong leadership and offshore operational management experience
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
