Location: Worldwide

Position: Assistant Subsea MUX Engineer
Department: Offshore Operations – Pool Crew
Reports To: Senior Subsea Engineer
Employment Type: Rotational Offshore Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, maintain, test, and troubleshoot electronic control systems and BOP MUX equipment onboard.
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and acceptance of new or refurbished subsea control equipment.
Ensure all subsea systems comply with vessel classification, API standards, and company safety procedures.
Support maintenance and modification activities and ensure all work is documented within the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
Monitor and report on BOP MUX system reliability, performance, and failures.
Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment downtime.
Ensure software updates and system modifications adhere to Stena Drilling’s change management and software control protocols.
Participate in Pre-Job Safety Meetings and ensure all tasks are performed according to Risk Assessment and SMS standards.
Compile and submit daily operational progress reports to the Senior Subsea Engineer and Aberdeen Office.
Complete end-of-tour handovers in accordance with Stena Drilling procedures.
Perform additional tasks as required by the Senior Subsea Engineer.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of offshore experience in a relevant subsea or electronic systems role.
Proficiency in BOP MUX control systems, electronics, and hydraulics.
Valid offshore certifications, including:
BOSIET / FOET with CA-EBS
OGUK / Offshore Medical Certificate
MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training)
Strong understanding of offshore drilling operations and subsea safety procedures.
Good communication skills in English.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural offshore environment.

Employment Details:

Rotation: Standard offshore rotation (e.g., 28/28)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and rank
