Job Description
A leading yacht recruitment company is currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a Motor Yacht operating worldwide.
The successful candidate will manage all engineering operations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of propulsion systems, generators, auxiliary machinery, HVAC, and technical equipment while maintaining the highest standards of reliability, safety, and guest comfort.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced Chief Engineers with previous Motor Yacht experience.
Job Responsibilities
Manage all engineering and technical operations onboard
Maintain propulsion, generators, and auxiliary machinery
Supervise planned maintenance and repair activities
Monitor fuel consumption and machinery performance
Maintain engineering documentation and maintenance records
Ensure compliance with ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, and Flag State regulations
Lead emergency response related to engineering systems
Support safe and efficient yacht operations
Requirements
Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Valid STCW certification package
Previous Motor Yacht experience as Chief Engineer
Valid passport and medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong technical knowledge and leadership abilities
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Physically and medically fit for sea service
