MYS Superyacht Crew is currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a Motor Yacht or Expedition Vessel operating worldwide.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's propulsion, auxiliary machinery, electrical systems, and technical equipment.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the engineering department and engine-room operations.
Operate and maintain propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
Carry out planned maintenance and technical repairs.
Monitor machinery performance and troubleshoot defects.
Maintain engineering records and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
Participate in emergency drills and onboard inspections.
Requirements
Valid Chief Engineer CoC appropriate to the vessel.
Valid STCW certification package.
Previous Chief Engineer experience on yachts or similar vessels.
Motor Yacht, Superyacht, or Expedition Vessel experience preferred.
Valid passport, seaman's book, and medical certificate where applicable.
Good English communication skills.
Strong technical, leadership, and safety skills.
Physically and medically fit for sea service.
