A private/charter Motor Yacht operating in the USA is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to take responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all engineering systems onboard.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain main engines, generators, and auxiliary machinery
• Supervise engineering maintenance and repairs
• Monitor planned maintenance systems and technical records
• Troubleshoot mechanical and technical defects
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain engineering spares, tools, and inventories
Requirements
• Valid Chief Engineer CoC appropriate for the yacht's machinery
• Previous Chief Engineer experience on Motor Yachts / Superyachts
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid ENG1 or equivalent medical certificate
• Valid passport and appropriate US visa/work authorization where required
• Strong mechanical and technical knowledge
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and problem-solving skills
