Job Description:
Viking Crew is recruiting an experienced Staff Captain to join a Cruise Liner operating worldwide.
The successful candidate will support the Captain in managing vessel operations, safety procedures, crew coordination, and compliance with international maritime regulations. This role requires strong leadership, extensive cruise vessel experience, and excellent operational knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assist the Captain with overall vessel operations and safety management
• Supervise deck department activities and bridge operations
• Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, and company procedures
• Coordinate emergency drills and safety training
• Support crew management and operational planning

Requirements:
• Previous experience as Staff Captain or senior deck officer onboard cruise vessels
• Valid Master Certificate of Competency (CoC)
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid passport and seaman’s book
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Extensive cruise ship operational experience preferred
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
