Job Description
A prestigious Private & Charter Motor Yacht is currently seeking an experienced Captain to lead all onboard operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe navigation and operation of the yacht, crew management, guest satisfaction, voyage planning, regulatory compliance, and overall vessel administration while maintaining the highest standards expected within the luxury yachting industry.
This opportunity is ideal for highly experienced yacht Captains with strong leadership skills and previous command experience onboard large private or charter motor yachts.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain full command and safe operation of the yacht
Plan voyages and oversee navigation and bridge operations
Supervise all onboard departments and crew performance
Ensure compliance with Flag State regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and company procedures
Coordinate maintenance schedules and technical operations
Manage budgets, provisioning, and yacht administration
Maintain excellent owner and guest relations
Conduct emergency drills, safety meetings, and crew training
Requirements
General Requirements
Valid Master Unlimited or Yacht Master Certificate of Competency appropriate for vessel size
Valid STCW 2010 certification package
Valid ENG1 or equivalent seafarer's medical certificate
Previous experience as Captain onboard Private or Charter Motor Yachts
Excellent leadership and crew management skills
Strong knowledge of ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, and yacht operations
Excellent English communication skills
Valid passport
Strong guest relations and customer service skills
Physically and medically fit for sea service
