Job Description
A private/charter Motor Yacht operating in the USA is seeking an experienced Captain to lead the yacht's marine operations and crew.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safe navigation, vessel management, crew supervision, regulatory compliance, and delivering a high standard of service to owners and guests.
Key Responsibilities
• Take overall command and responsibility for safe yacht operations
• Plan and execute navigation and passages
• Manage and supervise the onboard crew
• Ensure compliance with Flag State, US, STCW, SOLAS, and company requirements
• Oversee safety, emergency preparedness, and onboard drills
• Maintain excellent communication with owners, guests, and management
Requirements
• Valid Master/Captain Certificate of Competency appropriate for the yacht
• Previous Captain experience on Motor Yachts / Superyachts
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid ENG1 or equivalent medical certificate
• Valid passport and appropriate US visa/work authorization where required
• Strong knowledge of yacht operations and safety management
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong leadership, discretion, and guest-service skills
