Job Description:
We are seeking a confident and experienced Bosun with a passion for fishing to join a 45m Private Motor Yacht. The programme is strongly centred around fishing and features a large chase boat for excursions.
The vessel has a stable and long-standing crew of 9 with a fantastic team culture. This is a hands-on role where the Bosun will lead the deck team, support fishing trips for the owner, and oversee all deck operations and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, duties may include but are not limited to:
• Leading the deck team in daily operations and maintenance
• Managing tender operations (38ft+)
• Organising and supporting owner fishing excursions (fly, deep sea, trawling, etc.)
• Ensuring safety and efficiency in all deck activities
• Supporting the Captain and Chief Officer with deck planning and logistics
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Bosun on a similar-sized yacht/programme
• Strong expertise in fishing (fly, deep sea, trawling)
• Confident handling and driving larger tenders (38ft+)
• Leadership experience managing deck crew
• Valid Yachtmaster Offshore (YMO)
• Valid STCW and ENG 1
• Valid B1/B2 visa
