A maritime company is seeking an experienced Welder to join a DP2 Cable Laying Vessel operating on worldwide offshore cable installation and construction projects.
The successful candidate will carry out welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance work onboard while following approved procedures and offshore safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
Perform welding and fabrication activities onboard
Carry out repair and maintenance work on vessel structures and equipment
Prepare surfaces and materials for welding operations
Inspect completed work and maintain acceptable quality standards
Follow welding procedures, permits, risk assessments, and toolbox requirements
Maintain welding equipment and workshop areas
Follow all HSE, environmental, and vessel safety procedures
Support offshore cable laying and construction operations
Requirements
Valid STCW certificates relevant to the position
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
Previous experience as a Welder onboard vessels or offshore projects
Offshore, DP vessel, or Cable Laying Vessel experience is an advantage
Relevant welding certification where applicable
Good knowledge of English
Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural crew
