Job Description:
We are currently looking for skilled Chief Stewards to join our offshore fleet in Norway. As Chief Steward, you will be responsible for managing the catering department, ensuring high-quality meal preparation, maintaining hygiene and food safety standards, and supporting crew welfare onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Plan, prepare, and serve high-quality meals for the crew
• Lead and supervise the kitchen team in daily operations
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards
• Manage food inventory and supply stocks onboard
• Control costs related to food purchasing and meal preparation
• Develop menus tailored to the crew’s dietary requirements
• Participate in training new personnel in kitchen routines
Requirements:
• Valid Marine Chief Cook certificate
• Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the maritime or offshore industry
• Strong cooking skills and experience with menu planning
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under pressure
• Solid understanding of hygiene principles and food safety
