Perform rigging and welding tasks in support of vessel construction and maintenance activities.
Operate and maintain welding equipment, including gas and arc welding systems.
Fabricate and install structural steel components, including beams, frames, and support structures.
Perform rigging tasks to move heavy equipment and materials on and off the vessel.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of pipeline systems, including welding and fitting pipe sections.
Ensure that all welding and rigging work is performed in accordance with industry best practices and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of all welding and rigging work performed.
Assist with the maintenance and repair of other vessel systems as required.
Train and supervise junior crew members as required.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 3 years of experience working as a Rigger Welder on an Offshore Construction Vessel
Certification in welding from a recognized authority
Familiarity with rigging methods and equipment, including cranes, hoists, and winches
Knowledge of industry regulations, including SOLAS, IMO, and IACS
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based applications
Ability to work long hours and travel as required
Certification in Basic Safety Training, STCW-95, and other relevant certifications
