PT Setya Dharma Maritim Manajemen is currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join a Self Propelled Barge (SPB) equipped with two offshore cranes for an offshore project in Guinea, West Africa.
The successful candidate will carry out mechanical repairs, steel fabrication, welding support, equipment maintenance, and assist the engineering department in maintaining the vessel's operational readiness.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced Fitters with previous Self Propelled Barge and West Africa operational experience.
Job Responsibilities
Perform steel fabrication and mechanical repair work
Repair and maintain deck and engine room equipment
Assist with machinery overhauls and maintenance
Operate workshop tools and fabrication equipment safely
Support crane and cargo equipment maintenance
Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and maritime regulations
Maintain workshop cleanliness and operational readiness
Requirements
Valid STCW 2010 certification package (BST MSC 560)
Minimum 24 months of experience onboard Self Propelled Barges (SPB) as Fitter
Previous West Africa experience is mandatory
Valid passport, seaman book, and medical certificate
All certificates must remain valid for at least 18 months
Good English communication skills
Strong fabrication and mechanical repair skills
Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
