A maritime company is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join a DP2 Cable Laying Vessel operating on worldwide offshore cable installation projects.
The successful candidate will operate excavator equipment and support cable installation, seabed preparation, trenching, and related offshore construction activities in accordance with operational and HSE requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Operate excavator equipment safely and efficiently
Support cable laying and offshore construction operations
Perform excavation, trenching, and seabed preparation activities as required
Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Follow lifting, excavation, and equipment operating procedures
Maintain equipment and working areas in safe operating condition
Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings
Comply with all HSE, environmental, and vessel procedures
Requirements
Valid STCW certificates relevant to the position
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
Previous professional experience as an Excavator Operator
Offshore, marine construction, DP vessel, or Cable Laying Vessel experience is an advantage
Valid excavator/operator certification where applicable
Good knowledge of English
Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural crew
