JOB SUMMARY: Rig Mechanic is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of the mechanical equipment.
PRE-REQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:
Marine Diesel Mechanics Certificate or Equivalent Combination of Experience and Training
1+ years’ experience as a Rig Mechanic on 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible
2+ years’ experience with AKMH, MH Wirth and MH Crown Compensator equipment
Structured and organized mindset
High level of integrity
Analytical ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Perform maintenance and repair work as well as fault-finding work on mechanical equipment
Comply with proper maintenance procedures in accordance with Odfjell's maintenance program
Update drawings of mechanical systems (P&ID) whenever changes are made.
Responsible for mechanical workshop w/equipment.
Observe to uncover any non-compliance and immediately report these to his superior.
Participate in the emergency preparation organization as per muster list.
Responsible for ensuring that all work is done safely and professionally and actively take part in safety meetings and other meetings.
Emergency duties according to the unit’s emergency organization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
