A leading offshore marine contractor is seeking an experienced Chief Mechanic to join a Jack-Up vessel operating in Taiwan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and ensuring the operational readiness of mechanical equipment onboard.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise mechanical maintenance activities onboard
Inspect and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery
Carry out troubleshooting and repair work
Support planned and preventive maintenance
Assist with machinery overhauls and mechanical repairs
Maintain tools, spare parts, and workshop areas
Participate in inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
Follow company HSE and safe working procedures
Requirements
Previous experience as Chief Mechanic
Proven experience on Jack-Up or offshore vessels
Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills
Valid STCW certificates relevant to the position
Valid ILO Medical Certificate
Valid passport and Seaman's Book
Good English communication skills
Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
Malaysian nationality preferred
