Helder Maritiem is seeking an experienced Offshore Mechanic to join a backup crew pool for a long-term offshore project in Mozambique.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment onboard offshore units while ensuring maximum operational reliability and compliance with offshore HSE standards.
Candidates selected for the backup pool will be prepared for rapid mobilization, including Mozambique work visa processing, when operational requirements arise.

Job Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment
Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, engines, and rotating machinery
Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Inspect and service offshore mechanical equipment
Complete maintenance reports and technical documentation
Participate in emergency response and safety drills
Ensure compliance with offshore HSE regulations
Support continuous operational readiness onboard
Requirements
Previous offshore experience as Mechanic
Valid offshore safety certification (BOSIET/FOET or equivalent preferred)
Valid STCW certification (where applicable)
Valid Offshore Medical Certificate
Valid Passport
Good English communication skills
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Ability to mobilize on short notice
