- Minimum of STCW II/3 OOW unlimited
- Previous experience as a Tug Mate or similar position in the maritime industry
- Valid ENG 1 certificate
- Proficient understanding of navigation, vessel handling, and towing operations
- Good Knowledge of the ISM code
- Understanding of Health and Safety as applicable to Merchant Shipping
- General sea going experience as a watch keeping officer
- Experience operating Azimuthing Stern Drive tugs (desirable)
