Minimum requirments:
US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner's Document entry level rating with steward's department (FH) endorsement. STCW 95 endorsement, preferred. Valid driver's license.
Skills/Knowledge: Ability to prepare nutritional and well balanced meals for crew.
Ability to operate and utilize basic hand and hand held power tools. Current TB clearance.
Education/Training: Completion of culinary schooling with two (2) years meal preparation experience, preferred.
High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent is required.
Shall have sufficient verbal, reading and writing skills as necessitated by the job (i.e., coordinating tasks with co-workers, receiving instructions from supervisors (s), reading instructions/directions, writing lists/statements/reports.
Three (3) years seaborne galley experience preferred.
