Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced 2nd / Night Cook to join a Research Vessel. The role involves preparing meals for crew and supporting galley operations in line with food safety and maritime standards.
Start Date: 6th October
Important: Must hold a Frontier Work Permit if not a UK national.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Preparing and serving meals during night shifts
• Maintaining food hygiene and galley cleanliness
• Assisting Chief Cook in menu planning and stock control
• Complying with safety and hygiene regulations onboard
Requirements:
• Valid Food Hygiene Certificate
• Ship’s Cook CoC
• Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
• STCW Basic Safety Training (BST)
• STCW Security Awareness (SA) or Designated Security Duties (DSD)
• OPITO BOSIET or FOET
• Passport & Seaman’s Book
• English Language Test (if required)
• Frontier Work Permit (if not UK national)
