Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Master in all aspects of vessel operations, including navigation, cargo handling, and crew management.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of deck crew, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of vessel activities, including logbooks and reports.
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure that all crew members are familiar with emergency procedures.
- Monitor and maintain the vessel's equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order.
- Assist in the planning and execution of research and seismic operations.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on offshore seismic/research vessels.
- Valid Chief Officer Unlimited COC.
- Proficient in the use of navigation and communication equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of international maritime regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Willingness to travel and work worldwide.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
