Job Description
A reputable offshore vessel operator is currently seeking a qualified Chief Mate to join its fleet in the United States.
The Chief Mate will assist the Captain in managing deck operations, navigation, cargo activities, vessel maintenance, and safety procedures while ensuring efficient vessel performance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Captain in daily vessel operations
Supervise deck crew and maintenance activities
Oversee cargo handling and deck equipment operations
Conduct navigational watchkeeping duties
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Maintain deck inventories and records
Participate in emergency response operations
Requirements
Previous experience as Chief Mate on offshore vessels
Valid STCW certification package
Valid Certificate of Competency
Valid passport, seaman book, and medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong leadership and organizational abilities
Offshore vessel experience preferred
