TOS - Transport & Offshore Services is looking for an English-speaking Chief Engineer, who is a United Kingdom resident and owns a UK License. The vessel operates in Immingham as Harbour Towage Tug.
As Chief Engineer Towage of a tugboat, you work mainly independently in the engine room and have a hands-on approach, both on deck and in the engine room. You ensure that maintenance and repairs are carried out efficiently for all technical (electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical) installations onboard the ship. You can use your technical know-how to investigate malfunctions in technical systems onboard and report back to the Superintendent.
- You are in possession of a valid license <3000kW
- Fixed rotation 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
- You have valid STCW certificates, medical examination, and a valid seaman’s book
- Experience on tugboats is preferred
- Excellent command of the English language, spoken and written
- You enjoy working in a small team
- Strong communication skills
