A reputable maritime company is currently seeking an experienced Messman for deployment onboard a Crude Oil Tanker operating on international trading routes.
The successful candidate will assist the galley department with food service, accommodation upkeep, pantry duties, and housekeeping tasks while supporting the overall welfare and comfort of the crew onboard.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with previous tanker vessel experience who are ready for immediate joining.
Job Responsibilities
Assist the Chief Cook with meal preparation and food service
Maintain cleanliness of the mess room, pantry, galley, and accommodation areas
Support inventory handling and storage of provisions
Wash dishes, utensils, and galley equipment
Assist with housekeeping duties in common areas
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and sanitation standards
Support crew welfare and catering operations onboard
Follow vessel safety procedures and company regulations
Requirements
Previous experience as a Messman onboard Tanker vessels is required
Experience on Crude Oil Tankers preferred
Valid STCW certification package
Valid passport, seaman book, and medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Knowledge of galley hygiene and food handling procedures
Physically fit for sea service
Ability to work effectively within a multinational crew
