Job Description:
Seaspan Corporation is seeking a dedicated Messman to join their Container Carrier Vessel operating worldwide. The Messman will assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the galley and mess rooms, supporting the Chief Cook and ensuring high standards of hygiene and service on board.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Chief Cook in meal service and preparation
• Maintain cleanliness in the mess room, galley, and food storage areas
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
• Assist with provisioning and stock rotation
• Serve meals to officers and crew during scheduled times
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Previous sea-going experience in a catering or support role preferred
• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under supervision
