Job Description:
Seaspan Corporation is seeking an experienced Chief Cook to join a Container Carrier Vessel engaged in worldwide trade. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the galley, preparing nutritious meals for crew and officers, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards in the galley area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare daily meals for officers and crew
• Manage galley inventory and provisioning
• Ensure hygiene and sanitation meet maritime health standards
• Oversee the work of catering crew (Messman / Catering Trainee)
• Maintain records of food storage, usage, and stock rotation
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Previous experience as Chief Cook on a commercial vessel
• Strong knowledge of international cuisine and dietary needs
• Good English communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
Employment Details:
