Requiments
Must be able to repair company electrical equipment and automation systems
Must be able to use electric meters that measure voltage, amperage and 4-20mA signals
Must be able to read electrical schematics
Must be able to troubleshoot, repair and maintain 12 and 24 DC volt systems along with low voltage AC systems from 120 V to 480 V
Must be able to perform emergency repairs when needed
Must be able to be on call
Knowledge of all cable types
Must be able to build cables
Must be able to solder
Must know control systems
Must be able to troubleshoot control systems
Must know communication basics of Modbus TCP, Ethernet IP and Profibus
Must be able to calibrate, replace and troubleshoot all sensors on equipment
Must be able to perform mathematical calculations
Must be able to set up IP addresses
Must understand variable frequency drives (VFD’s) and how they function
Must be able to program VFD’s and set up communications with PLC
Must understand basics of PLC’s and HMI’s and be able to check communications between them
Must have a valid driver’s license
