Job Description
Blue Phoenix Deepwater is currently seeking an experienced Barge Master for a long-term Offshore Deepwater Drilling Project in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will supervise marine stability, ballast operations, towing activities, vessel positioning, and offshore marine operations while ensuring compliance with company procedures and offshore safety regulations.
This opportunity is ideal for marine professionals with previous offshore drilling or barge operations experience.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise ballast and stability operations
Coordinate vessel positioning and marine activities
Monitor offshore towing and anchoring operations
Support drilling and offshore project teams
Conduct safety meetings and emergency drills
Maintain marine documentation
Ensure compliance with offshore HSE requirements
Promote safe marine operations onboard
Requirements
Nigerian nationality
Previous experience as Barge Master
Valid Certificate of Competency appropriate to the position
Valid STCW certification package
Valid offshore medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong knowledge of offshore marine operations
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
