Operating deck machinery, such as winches and cranes, to load and unload cargo.
Standing watch on the bridge, monitoring the vessel's position, and keeping a lookout for other vessels and navigational hazards.
Performing routine maintenance and repair work on the vessel, including painting, cleaning, and chipping rust.
Assisting with the safe navigation of the vessel, including taking depth soundings and setting and adjusting course as directed.
Participating in the launching and recovery of lifeboats and other safety equipment.
Handling lines and cables during docking and undocking of the vessel.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Vessel Master or senior officers.
