Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with maintenance, repairs, and testing of electrical and electronic equipment
• Maintain communication systems, entertainment systems, and selected IT systems
• Support automation and control systems, propulsion, and auxiliary machinery
• Conduct routine and emergency interventions on navigation and guest service equipment (Radar, GMDSS, TV, telephone, entertainment, etc.)
• Operate medium/low voltage switchboards and emergency switchboards
• Assist in Engine Control Room duties during maneuvering under SETO supervision
• Ensure compliance with company Health, Environment, Safety, and Security Management System (HESS-MS)
• Participate in inventories, dry dock planning, drills, and training as assigned
• Maintain accurate records and support stock control of electrical spares
• Represent the Carnival brand and adhere to company occupational health and safety programs
Requirements:
• Valid STCW Certificate of Competency – Reg. III/6
• Basic Training Certificates as per STCW standard
• 24–36 months of shipboard experience as Electro-Technical Officer (cruise ship preferred)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electro-Technical Engineering (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of automation, control, power generation, and navigation systems
• English language proficiency (spoken and written)
• Strong safety management awareness and teamwork skills
• Valid Health Certificate and Covid-19 Vaccination card
• US C1/D visa preferred (must be obtained before start date)
