• Will be expected to work alongside other members of the technical staff and non-technical staff;
• Duties include close association with passengers so all ETOs are expected to be polite, courteous
and presentable when working in passenger areas;
• Must be familiar with regulations and work procedures applicable to assigned tasks and with
company instructions and procedures relevant to this position;
• Must be familiar with the ship’s “Emergency Plan”, the “Muster List”, the ship’s “Code of
Conduct” and the “SQM”;
• Must familiarise with the duties of Chief ETO and be prepared to take over those duties as
requested by Chief Engineer.
