Job Description:
The Barge Superintendent will be responsible for the safe and efficient coordination of all marine and deck operations onboard the barge. The role includes supervision of positioning, anchor handling, crane operations, cargo movements, and deck personnel. Close coordination with client representatives and operational teams is required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily barge operations and marine safety compliance
• Ensure safe deck operations, lifting and rigging activities
• Liaise with Marine Warranty Surveyors, Tow Masters, and Client Representatives
• Conduct job hazard analyses, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work procedures
• Maintain operational logs, barge documentation, and daily progress reports
Requirements:
• Minimum 3–5 years offshore experience in similar position
• Valid BOSIET / HUET / H2S + offshore medical
• Strong knowledge of barge movements, anchor patterns, and marine safety procedures
• Excellent English communication and leadership skills
