Ires Ship Management is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to monitor HSE compliance onboard an Accommodation Work Barge.
The successful candidate will promote safe working practices and ensure offshore operations are conducted in accordance with company and project HSE requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct HSE inspections and safety observations.
Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems.
Participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks.
Support incident and near-miss reporting.
Conduct safety inductions and briefings.
Monitor safe execution of lifting, hot work, work-at-height, and construction activities.
Maintain HSE records and reports.
Support emergency drills and response procedures.
Requirements
Relevant HSE / Safety qualification.
Previous offshore experience.
Offshore construction or Oil & Gas experience preferred.
Valid offshore safety certifications.
Strong knowledge of risk assessment and permit-to-work systems.
Good English communication skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Valid offshore medical certificate.
