A maritime company is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Deckhand for workboat and offshore operations.
The successful candidate will support deck operations, vessel maintenance, mooring activities, and general offshore duties while maintaining compliance with applicable MCA, RYA, and STCW requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Perform deckhand duties onboard workboats
Assist with mooring, anchoring, berthing, and unberthing operations
Carry out deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation work
Assist with vessel operations and offshore support activities
Maintain deck equipment and work areas in safe operating condition
Participate in emergency drills and safety procedures
Follow company HSE, environmental, and vessel operating procedures
Work effectively as part of a professional offshore team

Mandatory Qualifications & Certificates
VHF-SRC Certificate
RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Coastal – Workboat Deckhand qualification
MCA-approved Engine Course – Part 1
STCW A-VI/1-1: Personal Survival Techniques
STCW A-VI/1-2: Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
STCW A-VI/1-3: Elementary First Aid
STCW A-VI/1-4: Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities
STCW A-VI/2-1: Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (excluding Fast Rescue Boats)
STCW A-VI/6-4 / VI/6-1: Security Awareness / Designated Security Duties
Professional Requirements
Previous experience as an Deckhand, or similar maritime position
Relevant workboat and/or offshore experience preferred
Good understanding of deck operations and maritime safety procedures
Good English communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a multicultural and offshore environment
