Job Description
A maritime operator is recruiting a Deckhand to support daily deck and marine operations onboard a Multipurpose, Multicat, or Research Vessel operating in the UK.
The successful candidate will assist with deck maintenance, mooring, cargo handling, housekeeping, and general vessel activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform cleaning, maintenance, and preservation of deck areas
• Assist with mooring, anchoring, and line handling
• Support cargo and offshore operations
• Maintain deck equipment and tools
• Assist senior deck crew with daily duties
• Participate in drills and onboard safety activities
• Follow all company HSE procedures
Requirements
• Previous Deckhand experience preferred
• Experience on Multipurpose, Multicat, Research, or offshore vessels is an advantage
• Relevant STCW certification package
• Valid Medical Certificate
• Valid Passport and Seaman’s Book
• Relevant offshore certificates where applicable
• Good English communication skills
• Strong teamwork and safety awareness
• Physically fit for marine service
